PREPARING TO RECORD: FOR SINGERS AND INSTRUMENTALISTS
This intensive workshop offers insights and guidance especially focused for those artists who want to prepare to record. Sessions on song selection, arranging, rhythmic fluency, and the studio recording process will all help you in this most important phase of a successful recording project-the preparation!
The ‘big picture’ principles of Laurence’s teaching will be present - essentially that relaxed mindfulness is the key. It feeds the greatest secret Laurence has come to believe regarding musical evolution: the way our egos want to learn music is not the way our brains want to learn music. We can learn to re-calibrate our source of gratification from a quick-fix approach — instant gratification, little evolution or improvement — to a deeper, more contemplative way of working that leads to steadier and more marked growth. The result is real, lasting gratification that translates in performance.

SING and PLAY: A RITUAL FOR DAILY LIFE
with Marilena Anzini and Nicoline Snaas
for singers
Sing and play help us to feel better reducing stress level and negative thoughts and developing our attitude toward joy and amazement. Both of them are ritual and link to repetition. Children can repeat thousand times the same game without get boring: they always find something new and exciting in it, every single time. Develop the same approach and attitude toward ourselves and our voice could be an occasion to find joy and innocence in singing, to experience a deeper envolvement and a more authentic self expression in singing and in life. Nicoline and Marilena are very experienced singers and singing teachers that have been working together for almost 10 years. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to experience their global approach to singing, a balanced mix of experiences of Functional Voice Training (for a deeper relation with body and voice), vocal improvisation (to develop more freedom in self expression) and choral singing (to join the connection between more and different voices when they sing together).
